Ally and I met when we discovered we were both writing a prequel with a sad ending. NOT a popular theme in historical romance- technically not a romance at all, but we both loved our characters and wanted to dive deeper into their past.
Since then, we’ve struck up quite a friendship, playing ideas off one another. She is so clever and witty and it really shows in her books. I beta read this one and even though it completely ripped my heart out, I enjoyed her humor and depth of characters so much along the way that I was willing to forgive her for making me cry.
